#StandByOurChampions

Every year, Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals identify a remarkable child to serve as their Champion. Together these kids represent the more than 2.3 million children treated at children’s hospitals in Canada each year. Their stories demonstrate the incredible advances that have been made in child health care, and the personal journey children and their families take while enduring illness or injury.

During #ChildrensHospitalsWeek in March, our Champions wanted to rally Canadians together to show the brave, young patients who are undergoing treatments at their children’s hospital that they not alone. During the ambassador tour in Ottawa, the Champions came together to sing their own uplifting rendition the much-loved song “Stand By Me,” inviting Canadians to #StandByOurChampions in support of children’s hospitals across Canada.  With our lead vocals, Morgan, who is diagnosed with Typical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome and Epilepsy, and musical support from the incredibly talented tenors and altos Jack, Lily, Milan, Colton, Abigail, Logan, Hilary, Ethan, Payton and Gabriel and musicians, Olivia and Hunter, the Stand By Our Champions music video was born.

Launched during the closing session of #ChildrensHospitalsWeek, this video symbolizes that through each hospital visit and treatment program administered, children and families are not alone in their journey to overcome illness or injury.
