Extra Life Game Day 2018 surpasses $8.8 Million Raised

On November 3, Extra Life, a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, kicked off their annual gaming marathon to play games and help heal kids. Extra Life is in its 10th fundraising year, having surpassed $50 million raised for children’s hospitals since it’s inception in 2008.

Game Day unites the gaming community and inspires Extra Lifers from across the globe to do what they love: play games. The charitable component comes in when gamers ask their friends, family, and community to support their efforts and donate — those funds then support their selected Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. And come in, they did. Extra Lifers raised more than $2.3 million on Game Day alone and at the end of Extra Life’s 25-hour marathon, more than $8.8 million had been raised YTD.

Just because Game Day is over, doesn’t mean that donations can’t be given and collected until the end of the year: support Extra Life by registering or donating at extra-life.org.
