Costco Engages Members and Employees Alike To Prepare for May Campaign

In preparation of Costco’s annual Miracle Balloon campaign beginning on May 1st, members across the entire Network have been tirelessly playing their part to ensure its success.

74% of US employees – compared to 88% of Millennials – say their job is more fulfilling when they are provided an opportunity to make a positive impact at work (Cone 2016).

Employee Engagement

The CMN Hospitals Field Operations Team in conjunction with local hospital Program Directors have been hosting Regional and In-store Kickoff’s nationwide, from Texas to LA, Florida to New York. Hosting Kickoffs serve to: inspire, educate and engage employees by reminding them of our incredible cause. Costco has seen fantastic employee engagement and innovation stem from these Kickoffs, a huge reason their 660 stores have been able to raise millions of dollars for CMN Hospitals since 1988.

Member Engagement

In addition to Kickoffs, Costco featured CMN Hospitals and John Lauck in the Costco Connection Magazine which is distributed to all Costco Members across the U.S. The article educates Costco Members on who CMN Hospitals is, how the Costco campaign impacts local kids and why children’s hospitals need donations. Costco believes by featuring CMN Hospitals and John Lauck in their member magazine, more members will know about the campaign and be excited to give before even stepping foot in the store).

As a proud partner of CMN Hospitals, Costco is thrilled to yet again play a role in helping local kids get better. Knowing how passionate and dedicated Costco employees were last year to raising necessary funds one Miracle Balloon sale at a time, we look forward to seeing what they have up their sleeves starting next week.

Thank you, Costco, for your commitment to our cause!
