CDW Gets it!

CDW brands itself as people who get it, and, that could not be any truer. CDW gets how important it is to be a business who not only serves their clients with all their technology needs but also a company who makes a difference for the communities in which they live and work.

July is Fun Drive, CDW’s annual fundraising month for CMN Hospitals. The month is filled with co-worker driven activities to not only raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children’s hospital but a chance to come together for fun.

CDW made sure to include a very special miracle child in that fun.  To celebrate CDW’s 30th year of supporting children’s hospitals the entire company is taking a deep dive into just what it is like to be a family who needs a children’s hospital.Week by week of Fun Drive CDW is getting to know Logan Parker and his family.Logan has Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease, a central nervous system defect of the brain that affects mobility and speech. There are 1,000 known cases in the world.

Recently CDW invited Logan to become a part of their family. Hosting Logan and his family in what came to be known as Logan’s day. CDW created a day for their co-workers to connect with Logan and remember what it was like to be a kid again, from enjoying Capri Suns to playing Mario Cart. CDW co-workers and Logan played with puppies, enjoyed chicken fingers and ended the day with a baseball game at the Frisco Rough Riders.

“CDW’S allows for Logan and his friends to get the best care possible.” said Doris Parker (Logan’s mother). “Children’s hospitals are amazing places, and they are able to be so because amazing people care enough to make them that way. Thank you CDW for an amazing day and for your continued support of CMN Hospitals.”
